About the client:
Our client is a global leader in connected car technology, premium audio solutions, and cutting-edge professional audio and lighting systems. Currently they're seeking a highly motivated and visionary Principal Engineer, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) - Based in Shenzhen to join their advanced research and development team.
This is not just an engineering role; it is a leadership position where you will architect the future of audio experiences for millions of users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, simulation, and implementation of advanced, real-time DSP algorithms for audio applications, including active noise cancellation (ANC), advanced beamforming, acoustic echo cancellation (AEC), sound synthesis, and premium audio tuning.
- Define the DSP software and firmware architecture for complex, multi-core audio processing systems. Make critical decisions on processing resource allocation and latency management.
- Drive research initiatives to explore and prototype novel signal processing techniques. Translate theoretical concepts into practical, patentable solutions for Harman's product portfolio.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for junior and senior engineers. Collaborate closely with hardware, software, acoustic, and product management teams to deliver integrated, best-in-class audio solutions.
- Write efficient, high-quality, and well-documented C/C++ code for embedded DSP platforms (e.g., Analog Devices SHARC, TI C6x). Optimize algorithms for performance, memory, and power consumption.
Candidate Profile:
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Acoustics, or a related field, with a strong focus on Digital Signal Processing.
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in designing and implementing real-time audio DSP algorithms.
- Deep, proven expertise in C/C++ for embedded systems and extensive experience with MATLAB/Simulink for algorithm modeling and simulation.
- Profound knowledge in several of the following areas: Adaptive Filtering, Linear Algebra, Statistical Signal Processing, Psychoacoustics, Audio Codecs, and Control Theory.
- A strong portfolio of successful product launches, demonstrating a direct contribution from concept to mass production.
