AVP, Credit Risk Approval (Large Corporates)

Job description

Our client, a leading banking group, is looking for an AVP, Credit Risk Approver for their expanding credit risk team

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze credit applications to assess the creditworthiness of applicants.
Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents.
Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure comprehensive risk assessment.
Make informed credit decisions and provide justification for approvals or denials.
Monitor and manage existing credit portfolios to identify potential risks.
Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit risk management.
Prepare reports and present findings to senior management.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
years of experience in credit risk analysis or a related role.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in financial modeling and credit risk assessment tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Finance or a related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
Experience with credit risk software and databases.
