This is an exciting opportunity for a derivatives lawyer to join the Global Markets division of a renowned financial services firm. The company is highly regarded for its solid capital base, strong risk management culture, and well-established business operations.
As a VP Counsel, you will primarily provide legal support to the Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives business in Asia.
Duties include:
- Advising on various transactions including derivatives and structured products trading, and providing general regulatory support to the business.
- Collaborating with relevant business teams and senior management in legal documentation execution and establishing legal policies and procedures.
- Reviewing and negotiating agreements such as ISDA/GMSLA/GMRA with service providers.
- Performing legal due diligence and minimizing legal risks related to the business and transactions.
- Managing and instructing external counsels.
Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified lawyer with 3-8 years of post-qualification experience in derivatives/master documentation, gained either in-house or in private practice.
- Knowledgeable about the FICC and EQD business and experienced in drafting and negotiating ISDA Master Agreements.
- A team player with the ability to work independently and build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent command of both English and Chinese.
