Job description
Our client is a renowned Foreign Corporate Bank. They are looking for someone to join as a AVP - Compliance Assurance.
- Preferably holds professional qualifications, such as CPA.
- 8 years of relevant experience in compliance, operational risk management, risk control functions, and/or internal audit.
- Strong understanding Banking's laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct effective and objective risk-based compliance monitoring activities in accordance with the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.
- Identify potential or actual regulatory risks based on compliance monitoring results and propose recommendations to relevant stakeholders to mitigate these risks.
- Perform compliance reviews as outlined in the plan and upon the request of the Manager or Local Compliance Officer.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Bank's compliance risk control framework. Identify key deficiencies, assess their implications, and provide recommendations to stakeholders for mitigating actions.
- Follow up with stakeholders on the implementation of agreed actions following compliance reviews.
- Upon request, track management actions resulting from Internal Audit reviews or regulatory examinations, as appropriate.
Requirements
- University graduate, preferably holding professional qualifications such as CPA.
- 8 years of relevant experience in compliance, operational risk management, risk control functions, and/or internal audit.
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the banking industry.
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Independent, self-motivated, and able to work effectively under pressure.
