About the Company: Our client is a prominent conglomerate known for its recent high-profile transactions that have garnered significant industry attention. They are currently seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group General Counsel to join their executive team.
Position Overview: The Group General Counsel will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters across the organization. This role requires a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and governance. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal advice to the executive team and ensure that the company's operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the legal department, providing guidance and support to the team.
- Advise the executive team on legal matters, including corporate governance and compliance issues.
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts and agreements.
- Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company's business objectives.
- Provide training and support to staff on legal issues and compliance matters.
Qualifications:
- A Hong Kong qualified lawyer with at least 15 years of PQE.
- Extensive knowledge of corporate law and corporate governance.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Possess strategic thinking skills and commercial acumen
