The company is seeking a highly experienced and motivated compliance professional to lead its small, close-knit Compliance team in Tokyo as the Head of Compliance Japan. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the compliance framework to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, maintaining strong and effective relationships.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage regulatory changes and risks effectively.
- Lead the compliance team, providing guidance, training, and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.
- Monitor and report on compliance metrics, addressing any non-compliance issues promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of compliance practices into business operations.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in compliance or regulatory roles within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of Japanese regulatory requirements and global compliance standards.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including regulatory bodies.
- A proactive and strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and manage risks.
- Fluency in English and Japanese is required.
