The company is seeking a highly experienced and motivated compliance professional to lead its small, close-knit Compliance team in Tokyo as the Head of Compliance Japan. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the compliance framework to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, maintaining strong and effective relationships.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage regulatory changes and risks effectively.
  • Lead the compliance team, providing guidance, training, and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.
  • Monitor and report on compliance metrics, addressing any non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of compliance practices into business operations.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in compliance or regulatory roles within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of Japanese regulatory requirements and global compliance standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including regulatory bodies.
  • A proactive and strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and manage risks.
  • Fluency in English and Japanese is required.
