VP - Corporate Advisory - Japanese Speaking - Foreign Bank

Job description

Our client is a foreign corporate bank seeking a VP for the Corporate Advisory role, specifically for a Japanese-speaking candidate.

Preferably someone who is fluent in Japanese (N1 level or above) and has client-facing or pitching experience, along with a background in research and business development.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze regional intelligence concerning Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
• Provide clients with regional regulatory information related to finance, remittance, settlement, foreign exchange, accounting, GBA, start-ups, sustainability, and other topics pertinent to Hong Kong.
• Facilitate business matching between Japanese and non-Japanese clients through business visits, preparing business proposals and pitches, and organizing relevant seminars to enhance presence in Hong Kong.
• Assist Relationship Managers and other team members in promoting banking products by identifying customer needs in collaboration with other branches, relevant departments, affiliate companies, and external organizations.
• Prepare regular internal reports as needed.
• Collaborate with team members within the department to strengthen business relationships with other affiliate Banking / Financial Groups.

Requirements:

• University graduate.
• At least 5 years of marketing or advisory experience with corporate clients, ideally obtained from financial institutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Business-fluent in Japanese, with a strong command of English and Chinese.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
