Job description
Our client is a highly regarded and internationally recognized foreign bank with a strong presence in the global financial industry. They are now actively looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Internal Audit - AML/Compliance Auditor.
Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and report on comprehensive audits of the bank's AML program, including customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, and regulatory filings
Evaluate the bank's compliance with applicable laws and regulations, such as the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC sanctions, and Know Your Customer requirements
Assess the adequacy and reliability of management information systems supporting compliance functions
Provide objective analysis, insights, and practical recommendations to bank leadership to strengthen compliance risk management
Partner with business units and compliance teams to promote a strong culture of compliance
Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely and effective remediation
Share leading practices and industry benchmarks to continually improve the bank's compliance program
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 4 years of experience conducting internal audits, with a focus on AML/compliance in the banking/financial services industry
Strong understanding of anti-money laundering laws, regulations, and best practices
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Proficient in data extraction, sampling techniques, and audit software
Effective communication and presentation skills to deliver findings to all levels of management
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification preferred
