Job description
Our client is a leading Chinese investment banking and securities brokerage firm with global presence. They have established an excellent reputation in the Asian financial industry and provide a wide range of services including M&A advisory, equity and debt underwriting, etc.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily profit/loss, valuation and accounting activities for diverse product lines in derivatives and FICC
Perform complex financial modeling and analysis to validate asset valuations
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Interface regularly with external auditors to address inquiries and ensure audit quality
Identify process optimization opportunities through technology and data insights
Provide subject matter expertise and problem-solving support on special projects
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or quantitative field required
Minimum 3 years of progression experience in financial control and product control
Expert knowledge of financial products including derivatives, structured products and alternative investments
Experience leading reconciliation of trades, P&L and balance sheet figures
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Self-motivated team player capable of working under tight deadlines
Fluent in English and Mandarin with effective written/verbal communication skills
